The campout by Lucien

CAMP OUT
We went to cascade lake to camp out. We played games with the high school. We did a game that is where someone runs up and reaches in a bag full of food and has to eat it as fast as they could. We played blob tag it’s where 1 or 2 people are it and if you tag someone then you hold hands and chase after someone else. The next day in the morning some of us did the polar bear swim.
It was soooooooooooo cold.
But we had a lot of fun.

BIG SISTER by Evie

BIG SISTER!
I liked big sister the most this year because my big sister is Alaena Comrie and guess what we have the same birthday and I think she is 2 hours older than me and that’s crazy! I can’t believe she picked me… Alaena is also a great friend of  mine and when we first met it was weird because I didn’t know she was the same age as me… also I am new to this school and at first I didn’t know what big sister meant but now I do! So I can’t wait till chapel big sister this Friday! Well that is all so BYE!

Back to School Night

Greetings, Parents!

I wanted to make sure that you were aware of our Back to School Night, happening this Thursday, September 20, from 6:30 pm - 7 pm in our classroom. Please plan on being here for this event, as we will cover a lot of very important information, including upcoming field trips for the year, daily planners, how to check your child's grades on RenWeb, our reading motivation program, our curriculum, and lots more. There will be a time for questions and answers, too! Please let me know if you are unable to make it on Thursday night, and I will set up a time to go over the info with you so that you don't miss out!

I will be introducing the students to our reading motivation program tomorrow, which involves them accumulating points through the Accelerated Reader program that our school subscribes to. They will earn different rewards when they accumulate points. Here is a link to the AR book finder, which will help kids know if the book they are reading has an AR quiz that goes along with it.

See you on Thursday!

It's a half day, so no need to bring a lunch, as school is out at noon. Feel free to bring a snack if you wish! See you then!
